Hillcrest Athletics
Hillcrest Middle Schools Athletic Program offers a variety of after school athletic opportunities open to all students.
As part of the West County Athletic League, Hillcrest competes against other middle schools in the area. Hillcrest offers the following sports:
- Boys and Girls Basketball
- Boys and Girls Flag Football
- Boys and Girls Volleyball
- Co-ed (Boys and Girls) Cross Country
Sports are staggered throughout the school year with options to participate in all of them.
Students will sign up for sports using the Hillcrest Student Council Google Classroom. Signups will be posted roughly one month before the season begins.
We appreciate your support in making Hillcrest Middle School Athletics one of the strongest athletic programs in the county!
Go Hawks!
- Maintain a GPA at/above 2.00.
- Have submitted a current (within the last year) sports physical. As the beginning of the year is busy for many medical offices, it is strongly encouraged to have this completed over the summer. A student may NOT try out, participate in practice, or play in competitions until he/she has submitted your physical exam to the coach and a copy has been filed in the School Office.
*Practices and games are typically right after school.
*Transportation to games is arranged through parent drivers.
Hillcrest Middle School does not require a fee to participate in athletics.
The Athletic Department, however, funds its programs primarily through parent donations. All donations are used toward purchasing new uniforms and equipment for our student athletes. To help with this, we ask parents for a minimum donation of $30 per sport. For your convenience you can return the Donation form included in the Athletic Clearance Packet with check or cash, or you can pay via debit or credit card using the donation link button. No child will be prevented from participating in a team due to financial circumstances!
A student who is issued an administrator-assigned detention may be removed from one game. A student becomes ineligible to participate in sports while under a temporary removal or suspension. A student who has been temporarily removed or suspended from school and/or demonstrates unsafe or disruptive behavior may be removed from the team depending on administrative review.
